The 2019-20 Academic Award goes to Tyler Lindgren

 

A sophomore from Windsor, Colo., Lindgren has served as a starting setter for the Owls the past two seasons. In 2019, she led Temple with 576 total assists, averaging 9.00 per set. She also averaged 2.33 digs per frame, finishing the season with five double-doubles. Lindgren was named the MVP of the Cherry & White Challenge, earned a spot on the American Classic All-Tournament team, and was also named the Under Armour/Owlsports.com Athlete of the Month in September. In the classroom, she is a Health Professions major in the Temple College of Public Health, carrying an impressive 3.98 GPA.

Tyler is a fantastic choice for the Academic Award this season. She is a perfectionist, and is self-motivated and laser focused on what she wants to do with life after volleyball. This drive helps her achieve greatness, not just on the court, but in the classroom.
