Temple Athletics Announces Transition to Digital Only Tickets
5.21.20 | Football, General, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball
PHILADELPHIA - Temple University Athletics is moving to all digital tickets, including mobile and print-at-home tickets, for all football, and men's and women's basketball contests beginning in the Fall of 2020, the athletic department announced Thursday.
"Transitioning our tickets to all digital will increase safety and convenience for our fans," said Scott Walcoff, Senior Associate Athletic Director of External Operations. "There is an industry-wide transition to digital tickets, especially in today's current climate with many uncertainties surrounding COVID-19. This will allow us to better serve our fans and eliminate possible shipping issues associated with hard tickets. Similarly, it provides increased safety by reducing contact with box office and ticket staff. By taking advantage of the mobile option, our fans will also have more contactless ticket management flexibility including forwarding tickets to family and friends at any time, as well as have more peace of mind with a reduced risk of lost, stolen, or forgotten tickets."
Temple Athletics recently extended its football season ticket renewal deadline to June 1. Fans will have the opportunity to choose either print-at-home tickets or mobile tickets in their respective accounts prior to the start of the season.
Digital tickets will also be fully implemented for the upcoming Temple Men's and Women's Basketball season.
