8.11.20 | Women's Gymnastics

PHILADELPHIA -- 14 members of the Temple gymnastics team were named Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-Americans, announced this week. As a team, the Owls' GPA of 3.7269 ranked 15th in the nation, a number measured across all three divisions of collegiate gymnastics.

"I am proud of the effort of this team," said head coach Josh Nilson. "Not only are they very successful in competition, but they are proving that you can be successful in the classroom at the same time! They keep first things first. They represent the University and the Athletic department well and I'm honored to be their coach."

Leading the way for Temple's individual academic nods were recently graduated seniors Jaylene Everett and Daisy Todd, both four time winners of the national honor. Rising seniors Delaney Garin and Jordyn Oster each earned the award for the third time in their careers, while classmate Taylor Newland is a two-time winner. First time winners of the award include Madison Brooks, Grace Busch, Ariana Castrence, Jazmyn Estrella, Faith Leary, Monica Servidio, Nichole Smith, Jackie Terpak, and Heidi Vanderboom.
