Men's Basketball Hosts UCF Thursday Afternoon

PHILADELPHIA - Temple (1-3, 0-3 AAC) returns to the Liacouras Center Thursday to take on UCF (3-3, 1-2) in a 12 noon matinee game (ESPN+/1210 AM WPHT). The Owls are coming off consecutive losses to SMU, falling 79-71 at home (12/30) then, following a COVID pause, dropping a 79-68 decision in Dallas on Monday.
SCOUTING THE OWLSÂ
> Redshirt freshman Damian Dunn (14.3 ppg) and graduate student Brendan Barry (11.5 ppg) lead the team in scoring with Dunn topping the conference in free throws made per game (7.5) and Barry leading the AAC in three-pointers made per game (3.5) and percentage (14-25, .560).
> Senior co-captain J.P. Moorman II is third in scoring (9.8 ppg) and second in rebounding with fellow senior co-captain De'Vondre Perry (7.5 ppg) leading the team in rebounding (7.8 rpg).
> Freshman Jeremiah Williams (9.0 ppg, 3.5 apg) and junior Jake Forrester (7.3 ppg, 5.5 rpg) rounding out the starting five.

> UCF is on a two-game skid, falling to #6/7 Houston (63-54) and at USF (68-61). Two of the Knights' last four games have been postponed due to positive COVID tests and contact tracing in the UCF men's basketball program.
