Men's Crew Races at the Navy Day Regatta

PHILADELPHIA — The Temple men's crew team opened the fall racing season with a solid competition at the 2021 Navy Day Regatta. The Owls competed in their first Head race since 2019. The Owls competed in two different events with a total of five boats racing down the Schuylkill River.
From the Coach
"As a starting point, we are pretty happy with these results," head coach Brian Perkins said. "We have much to do and the squad seems pretty motivated to get to work!"
Lightweight Four
> Temple had one boat compete in the varsity four event. Temple put up a competitive time clocking in 14:18.9. The Owls finished fourth in the event following closely behind Drexel and Penn.
Eight
> Temple "A" notched a sixth place finish the collegiate eight field, which featured 31 boats.
>The Owls top crew recorded a time of 12:15.4 to finish sixth, while the "B" boat finished in 14th in 12:35.1.
> The Owls also had boats finish in 22nd and 28th, as the "D" crew clocked in at 12:57.4, and the "C" boat just behind with a time of 13:24.9.

> Temple will be racing in the 1V8+ and Lwt4+ at the Head of the Charles in Cambridge, MA on Sunday, October 24.
