Temple continues its four-game home stand this weekend
PHILADELPHIA - The Temple volleyball team continues its four-match home stand this weekend in McGonigle Hall with matches versus Tulsa and Wichita State.

The Owls will take on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane on Friday night, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. ET and will close out the weekend against the Wichita State Shockers on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 24 at 12 noon ET. Both matches will available on the ESPN+ app.

OWL ABOUT TEMPLE
> The Owls picked up their first AAC of the season last weekend (Oct. 15) versus USF, 3-1.
> TU has a 5-14 overall record this season with a 1-7 record in American play.
> Right-side hitter Gem Grimshaw leads the Owls' offense with 3.45 kills per set, ranking her fifth in the league. The junior also ranks second on the Owls with 2.57 digs per set.
 > Starting outside hitters Miray Bolukbasi (3.05 k/s) and Katerina Papazoglou (1.27 k/s) also provide offense for Temple.
 > Middle blocker Taylor Davenport averages a team-leading 1.21 blocks per frame.
 > Patrycja Zielinska quarterbacks the Owls' offense with 8.44 assists per set.
> Defensively, libero Falanika Danielson averages 4.18 digs per set, ranking her fourth in the AAC.

 > Tulsa is coming into this weekend 10-8 overall this season and seventh in the AAC with a 5-4 record.
 > The Golden Hurricanes have traded a win for a loss over the past four matches, going 2-2 in that span.
 > As a team, UT has a league-best 1,268 digs on the season, averaging another AAC-best 18.11 digs per set.
 > Marta Pecalli (3rd) and Avery Kalsu (12th) are in the top-12 of the conference with 4.63 digs per set and 3.23 digs per set, respectively.
 > Kayley Cassaday leads the Golden Hurricanes in kills per set this season. Cassaday is third among hitters in the league, with 3.87 kills per set.

 > The Shockers have played at least four sets in the previous five games, including three straight five-set contests.
 > As a team, the Shockers volleyball team is the third-best hitting team in the conference at .230 per match, and on the defensive side, they rank fourth in the AAC with 16.05 digs per set.
> The tandem of Brylee Kelly and Natalie Foster team up to lead the Shockers team offensively. Kelly leads the Shockers with 211 kills on the season. Meanwhile, Foster ranks fourth in the conference with a .325 hitting percentage.
> Libero Lily Liekweg has the fourth-best digs per set numbers in the conference at 4.33.
