- "During the last conference competition outdoors in May, Michelle Joyce won the women's 5000m and was runner-up at 10000m. She chose to stay here at Temple to complete her fifth year and has had her eyes on this meet  to compete for the individual title since the summer. I'm looking forward to her leading our group as we return two other all-conference performers (Lea Kerbiriou and Helene Gottlieb) along with a group of athletes looking to race their best during the championship portion of the season."
- The Owls as a team finished in 10th place out of the 21 teams that raced.
- Temple saw three runners finish in the top-50 with Joyce sixth , Cat Shontz 43rd, and Helene Holm Gottlieb 49th.
- The Owls will compete against the 10 other member schools of the American Athletic Conference in hopes to secure the program's first AAC championship.Â
- Temple enters the race ranking 13th in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Region.
