Women's Basketball Hosts Princeton on Tuesday Night

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple women's basketball team takes on the Princeton Tigers on Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 7:00pm for their third straight home game in McGonigle Hall. Fans are required to wear masks unless actively eating or drinking.
LAST GAME
> After dropping their second game of the season to St. John's, the Owls bounced back in a big way with a 59-46 win over the Bucknell Bison.
> Forward Mia Davis led the way for the Owls recording 14 points and 10 rebounds to record her second straight double-double.
> Freshman Tiarra East scored a career-high 16 points to lead Temple in scoring.
> Temple had its best shooting performance of the season from behind the arc as five players (Jasha Clinton, Mia Davis, Tiarra East, Emani Mayo, Jiselle Thomas) made at least one shot from downtown.
THE OWLS
> The Owls are led by graduate forward Davis who has enjoyed a strong start to her fifth season on Broad Street. Davis has recorded back-to-back double-doubles over the past two games, averaging 19.5 points per game and 12.5 rebounds per game over that span.
> Senior Alexa Williamson has averaged 13.5 points per game and 8.8 rebounds per game in the early goings of the season. Williamson has recorded two double-doubles thus far.
> Clinton, last season's AAC All-freshman team selection leads the team in assists per game, dishing out 10 earlier in the season against Florida Gulf Coast.
> Thomas is the third Owl averaging double-digits this season, shooting 40% from three-point land in the process.
SCOUTING PRINCETON
> After winning the first three games of the season, the Tigers dropped their last game against Rhode Island.
> Princeton is led by guards Abby Meyers and Julia Cunningham, they are averaging 18.5 and 16.5 points per game, respectively.
> Forward Ellie Mitchell leads the Tigers in rebounds per game, grabbing 10 rebounds per contest.
LAST TIME THEY MET
> The last time that Temple played against the Tigers was back in 2002 when Temple defeated the Tigers on a neutral court as part of the Stanford Tournament in Palo Alto, Calif.
> The Owls got out to a hot start, taking a 16-point lead going into the second half. From there, Temple did not squander the lead, outscoring Princeton by 14 points in the second half for a 30-point victory.
> The Owls improved to 4-1 on the seaso while the Tigers fell to 2-3.
