Women's Basketball Makes Short Trip to Villanova on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA - After a three-game home stretch, the Temple women's basketball team takes to the road to take on Villanova on Saturday, Nov. 27 at 2:00pm for their first of three straight road contests.

LAST GAME
> After defeating Bucknell over the past weekend, the Owls failed to win their second game in a row, falling to the Princeton Tigers 59-41. 
> Mia Davis was the only Owl to score in double-figures as the Owls were out-rebounded for the first time all season.
> Guards Aniya Gourdine and Jalynn Holmes chipped in with nine points each, both recording season-highs.

THE OWLS
> The Owls have split their four games at home this season while falling in their lone road contest of the season to Florida Gulf Coast.
> Davis has recorded two double-doubles in her last three games, being named to the American Athletic Conference's weekly Honor Roll for her performances.
> Senior Alexa Williamson has averaged 11.2 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game in the first five games of the season.
> Holmes posted her best game of the season against Princeton, scoring a season-high nine points and grabbing a season-best six rebounds.
> Graduate Jiselle Thomas is the third Owl averaging double-digits this season. Thomas has started three games this season for Temple.

SCOUTING VILLANOVA
> After losing their first two games of the season, the Wildcats have bounced back to win their last two games against Saint Joseph's and Penn.
> Villanova is led by junior forward Maddy Siegrist. Siegrist has averaged 10.5 points per game this season through only two games after dealing with an injury.
> Forward Lior Garzon leads the team in scoring at 17.0 points per game while shooting 44% from three-point range.

LAST TIME THEY MET
> The last time that the Owls met the Wildcats, Temple fell by a score of 90-72.
> Mia Davis led the Owls with 22 points followed closely behind by 16 points for Jasha Clinton.
> Jada Graves added 11 points on 5-7 shooting.
> The effort was not enough, however, as Villanova's Siegrist and Brianna Herlihy scored 23 and 22 points, respectively.

> The Owls continue their road stretch with a visit to Georgetown on Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 5:00pm.
