Gourdine Named AAC Freshman of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - The American Athletic Conference announced today that Temple's Aniya Gourdine was named AAC Freshman of the Week for her performances against Princeton and Villanova.Â
Gourdine stepped up against the Tigers and the Wildcats, averaging 13.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, shooting .643 from the floor for the Owls. Gourdine hit 5-of-6 total shot attempts, including 2-of-3 from 3-point range, as part of a 17-point, four-rebound, four-assist performance in the Owls' win against Villanova on Nov. 27.
Gourdine was also named to the Big 5 Weekly Honor Roll.
