Gymnastics Picked by Coaches for Third-Place Tie in 2022 EAGL

STEUBENVILLE, OHIO – After its third overall consecutive championship, including its first Eastern Atlantic Gymnastics League championship, the Temple gymnastics team will begin its second season in the EAGL era tied for No. 3 in the preseason poll, as picked by the conference head coaches.
The Owls tallied 43 total points in the poll, which included two-place votes, tying with UNC for third overall with one first-place vote. NC State comes in as the preseason number one with 58 points and two first-place votes, followed by Towson (44 points). Following Temple and UNC is George Washington with one first-place vote (35 points), New Hampshire with one first-place vote (30 points), Pittsburgh with one first-place vote (27 points), and Long Island (8 points) rounding out the poll.
The defending EGAL champions will begin defense of their crown on January 7th at 7 p.m. ET at home in McGonigle Hall part of the first-ever Keystone Classic. The Cherry and White will host Pitt, Penn State, and Penn during the first weekend of competition.
