Men's Crew Hosts 8th Annual Mike Mirabella Erg-A-Thon

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple men's crew team will hold its eight-annual erg-a-thon on Monday, December 6th. The team will be hosting the event in honor of Mike Mirabella '13. The 12-hour fundraiser will take place in the TU Pavilion from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., with Owl team members and coaches each taking one hour shifts on the erg.

Temple Crew dedicates its one athlete-driven fundraiser in the memory of Mike Mirabella. A four-year member of the Temple crew team, Mirabella passed away on December 2, 2014 after a long bout with cancer. He was 23.

The Mike Mirabella Erg-a-thon will take place on Monday the 6th in the TU Pavilion.

The team has decided to give a portion of the funds raised to Athletes Against Anxiety and Depression. This is a student driven fundraiser for both Temple Men's Crew and the AAAD.

"The Mike Mirabella Erg-A-Thon has became a huge part of Temple Crew tradition", said Assistant Coach, Fergal Barry. "We are always blown way by the support we receive on the day".
