Fencing to Host LIU Sunday

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple fencing team will host Long Island University Sunday morning for back to back matches, the first of three-straight home meets for the Owls.
Temple is coming off a 3-3 weekend at the Northwestern Multi meet, defeating Northwestern, Wayne State, and Air Force on day one before falling to Notre Dame, Duke, and Ohio State on day two.
Sophomore Sarah Park had an impressive outing on day one, going 8-0. Junior Naomi Ross went 9-6 overall while freshman Anastasia Yankovskiy went 10-6 overall.
LIU will open its season on Broad Street, as its SharkTank Challenge scheduled for Feb. 7 was postponed.Â
The first match against the Sharks is set for 9 a.m. while the second will follow at 10:30 a.m.
