Fencing to Host Temple Invitational For Senior Day

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple fencing team is set for its second home meet of the season, hosting Penn State, UNC, St. John's, and NJIT for the Temple Invitational on Feb. 21. The squad's three seniors will be recognized as part of senior day activities.
The Owls are coming off a 2-0 victory over LIU last Sunday, defeating the Sharks in back-to-back 18-9 wins. Freshman Diana Tiburcio went 5-0 on the day, while junior Naomi Ross went an undefeated 3-0. Sara Proctor led the epeeists with a 4-2 record, while Eva Hinds went 5-1 and Elizabeth Novoseltseva went 4-2.
The Cherry and White will see four rounds of competition, book ending the meet against Penn State and facing UNC in Round 2 and St. John's in Round 3.
Hinds, Marielle Luke, and Megan Ross will be recognized at 1 p.m. during the senior ceremony.
Temple's first match of the day will begin at 10 a.m. against the Nittany Lions.
