PHILADELPHIA -- Temple junior Tyler Lindgren helped the Owls to two victories last week and was named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts. This is her first career Player of the Week honor and Temple's first of the season.

Lindgren captained Temple's offense to a pair of sweeps, as the Owls downed defending Big East Champion, St. John's, as well as Coppin State. She dished out 11.67 assists per set, adding 2.83 digs per frame, while the Owls hit .267 as a team.

Against Coppin State, Lindgren racked up 33 assists, adding 13 digs for a double-double her second of the season. She also had three kills without an error. Against national power St. John's, Lindgren elevated her game with 37 assists, putting down two kills without an error, and adding four digs, an ace, and a block.

Temple volleyball opens conference play this weekend, heading to USF for matches on Friday and Saturday.
