Crew Wins Bergen Cup
5.1.21 | Men's Crew
PHILADELPHIA - The Temple men's crew took home the Bergen Cup Saturday on the Schuylkill River, as the Varsity Eight boat won their sixth consecutive race of the season. The #9 ranked boat won the final race of the morning over second-place Drexel and third-place Penn to unify the city cups (Kerr Cup, Murphy Cup, Bergen Cup).  It marks the first time Temple has won all three Cups in the same season.
The third varsity eight won their third race in a row.
"This was exactly the tough racing from our City rivals that we expected for the Bergen Cup," head coach Brian Perkins said. "Our boys pulled out a couple wins and I'm very excited! We are in a good place and are looking forward to our last race of the regular season: the Dad Vail Regatta."
