Eoin Gawronski Named Second Team All-Freshman by TopDrawerSoccer

PHILADELPHIA – After a strong debut season, freshman goalkeeper Eoin Gawronski has been named to the 2020-21 TopDrawerSoccer.com All-Freshman Second Team, as announced on Tuesday afternoon. This is the Limerick, PA native's third postseason award. Gawronski was also awarded second-team All-Conference and All-Freshman by the AAC.

Gawronski started six games for the Owls this season. He was inserted into the starting lineup against USF in the fourth match of the season. The goalkeeper did not allow a single goal during his first two starts, which included shutting out No. 2 SMU. The Mustangs were ranked as the top offense in the country at the time. Gawronski continued his excellent the following week against Tulsa, making six saves for his second straight clean sheet. He shined again in the regular-season finale, the keeper made eight total saves, including an outstanding six in the first half alone.

Gawronski finished second in the American in save percentage (.775) and third in goals-against average (1.12).  He ranked second nationally among freshman goalkeepers in save percentage.
