PHILADELPHIA – Brett McGrath, one of the top high school golfers in the Philadelphia area, has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Temple University, announced Owls' head coach Brian Quinn.
"We are thrilled to welcome Brett to the Temple Golf family," said Quinn. "He is an extremely talented young golfer and it is so good to have him join his brother Conor next season. I expect him to make his mark with our program as Conor and his other brother, Liam, have done."
McGrath, a native of Huntingdon Valley, Pa., was a three-sport athlete during his high school career, playing lacrosse and hockey besides golf. The 2021 AIM Academy graduate recently qualified for the 117th Philadelphia Open Championship which will be held on July 13-14 at the Country Club of York. He won the Golf Association of Philadelphia's Junior-Junior Boys Championship in 2016.
