8.31.21 | Men's Soccer
PHILADELPHIA – After making a massive save off a penalty kick in the double overtime draw against No. 10 Seton Hall, Eoin Gawronski was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com men's Team of the Week for his performance. His recognition follows being named American Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Week on Monday and AAC Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year in mid-August.
Gawronski was a force in goal for the Owl's, making six saves on the night, with three of those saves coming in overtime. After Seton Hall was awarded a penalty kick and given the opportunity for the golden goal in the 97th minute, Gawronski made his most impressive stop of the night. The shooter fired a line drive to the bottom left corner of the goal, but Gawronski made the diving save to preserve the draw and ultimately end the match 0-0.
