Women's Cross Country is Set to Race at the Paul Short Invitational

PHILADELPHIA- After a week off from competition, the Temple University women's cross country team will travel to Bethlehem, P.A. to compete in the Paul Short Invitational on Friday, Oct 1. The women's 6k race is set to begin at 11:45 am at Goodman Campus.

- "We're excited to return to Lehigh this fall for an opportunity to preview the same course we'll be racing on for the NCAA Mid Atlantic Regional Championships in November. The Paul Short Run consistently attracts many of the nation's best cross country programs and I know our teams are looking forward to this opportunity."Â
- The Owls had a strong fourth place finish at the Iona Meet of Champions.
- The Owls had two top-10 finishes with Michelle Joyce and Helene Gottlieb. Joyce finished in third place with a time of 18:23.9 minutes and Gottlieb in 10th place with a time of 18:45.6.
- Lehigh University hosts the Paul Short Run in honor of long-time Lehigh cross country fan and Lehigh Athletics Hall-of-Famer, Paul Short.
- The first Paul Short meet was in 1969, hosting just male athletes. Today, the event has grown tremendously, featuring six college races, six high school races, and two open meets for men and women.
