Grimshaw, Papazoglou Named Cherry & White Challenge All-Tournament

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple's Gem Grimshaw and Katerina Papazoglou were named to the Cherry & White Challenge All-Tournament team for their play this weekend. The all-around players helped Temple to a sweep of LIU and a near upset of Maryland at the event.

Grimshaw averaged 3.38 kills, 2.88 digs, and 0.63 aces and blocks in the 1-1 weekend. Against Maryland, Grimshaw tallied 14 kills with 14 digs for her second double-double of the season. She also received 44 serves without making an error on the night, adding three blocks. Grimshaw followed it up with a 13-kill, nine-dig performance against LIU, with four aces and a pair of blocks. 

Papazoglou averaged 3.75 kills per set, while chipping in with 2.00 digs per frame. She had a team-high 16 kills against Maryland, also going for 13 digs for her first double-double of the season. Against LIU Papazoglou tallied 14 kills with three digs, while hitting .303.

Temple volleyball is back in action this weekend at the Towson Tiger Invitational in Maryland.
