Men’s Tennis Falls in Season Opener, 5-2

RICHMOND, Va. – Temple men's tennis fell to VCU, 5-2 on Friday morning in a hard-fought season opening match.

Doubles
"We really had a great effort today," head coach Steve Mauro said. "We had a very strong start in doubles play and we carried that into our singles matches. All of our guys played them very close, but we unfortunately couldn't pull off the points we needed. We're really looking forward to our next opportunity at Penn this Wednesday."
Next Up
The Owls will return home for a nearby road match at city rival, Penn on Wednesday, Jan. 26. The match will be held at the Hecht Tennis Center and is set to kick off at 6:00 p.m.

- Temple started the match off strong, securing the doubles point after victories in the first and third flight.
