No. 8 Fencing Goes 2-1 at Home

PHILADELPHIA - In its first home meet of the regular season, the No. 8 Temple fencing team went 2-1 against three top-15 teams.

Meet Summary
> In the first round of the day, the Cherry and White fell 16-11 to No. 3 Princeton.
> The Owls bounced back and topped No. 15 NJIT 17-10.
> Temple closed the day with a 16-11 victory over No. 14 UNC.

Individual Highlights
> In epee, Naomi Ross went 6-1.
> Elizabeth Novoseltseva went 6-1 and Cassie Navalta went an undefeated 3-0 in foil.
> Eva Ventura, Alexandra Weinberg, and Diana Tiburcio saw a 4-2 mark in sabre.
> All three squads went 2-1 on the day.
