Stalllings earns second EAGL award in three weeks
PHILADELPHIA - Temple freshman Hannah Stallings earned her second East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) weekly award in three weeks. On Wednesday, she was named Co-Gymnast of the Week after an excellent performance during last Sunday's tri-meet at New Hampshire, announced by the league.
Stallings picked up her third straight all-around win as she tallied the third-highest score in program history, 39.275.
The Raleigh, N.C. native scored personal-bests in all four events, including three 9.8's or better. Along with teammate Julianna Roland, Stallings shared first place on the vault as the two tied the program record with a score of 9.9. Stallings rounded out the meet with a 9.725 on bars, a 9.850 on beam, and a 9.800 on the floor exercise.
After week three of action, Hannah is third in the EAGL all-around standings, averaging 39.017 on the season.
Temple gymnastics is ranked No. 34 in the latest NQS rankings and will be in action on Saturday, Jan. 30, traveling to Long Island University for a dual meet with the Sharks.
