ORLANDO, Fla. – Temple (2-4, 0-2) lost to the UCF Knights (5-1, 3-0) at FBC Mortgage Stadium in Orlando, 70-13. The story of the game was the high-powered Knights offense behind QB John Rhys Plumlee, who threw for 373 yards, while accounting for seven touchdowns.

Keys to the Game

Temple began the game with the ball, after UCF elected to defer to the second half. Temple was able to move the ball down the field effectively, getting down into the redzone and settling for a 26-yard Camden Price field goal to make it 3-0 Owls. UCF would follow up with a Plumlee rushing touchdown to make it 7-3 Knights early on the first quarter. Temple QB E.J. Warner would find WR Jose Barbon for his first touchdown reception of the season, and the Owls' first touchdown on the road in 2022 to make it 10-7 Owls. On the ensuing UCF drive, RB R.J. Harvey recorded a 61-yard carry to get the Knights down to the one-yard line, where Plumlee would punch it in for his second touchdown of the game to put UCF back on top 14-10 at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Camden Price added his second field goal of the night, this time from 49-yards marking a new career-long and tying the longest field goal made in the AAC this season. After Temple cut the lead to 14-13, UCF would add three touchdowns before the half, to make the score 35-13.
In the second half, UCF extended its lead to make the final score, 70-13.

Camden Price's 49-yard field goal is his career long and ties the longest kick in the AAC in 2022.
