Field Hockey to Host #14 Old Dominion in BIG EAST Matchup

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple field hockey team will close out home league play, hosting No. 14 Old Dominion Friday afternoon in a key BIG EAST matchup for its lone contest of the weekend.Â
SCOUTING TEMPLE
>Â The Owls split play last weekend, falling to No. 16 Liberty before topping Brown at home on Sunday.
> With two league games left on the schedule, Temple is in contention for the BIG EAST Tournament for the third straight year. The Owls currently sit in fourth place, with the top four teams advancing to the postseason.
> The Cherry and White holds an RPI of 28 with three games left in the regular season. Temple was as high as No. 20 in the RPI rankings this season, dropping several spots after losses to Villanova and Penn.
> Temple has outscored its opponents 38-17, three shy of double last season's goals scored (21). The Cherry and White has scored 5+ goals four times this season.
