Richardson Announces Two Signees to Temple Women’s Basketball

PHILADELPHIA - Temple women's basketball head coach Diane Richardson has announced her second wave of additions on North Broad since taking over the program in early April. The Owls have signed two freshmen to National Letters of Intent for the 2023-24 incoming class in Jaleesa Molina and Sheyenne Swain-Price.
"We are happy to add two elite players to our program," Coach Richardson said. "Jaleesa Molina will add length and high-level international experience. She is an excellent athlete, versatile and skilled. We see her adding another dimension to her game as a wing. Sheyenne Swain-Price, is a power forward that is unstoppable in the paint. Her ability to rebound and pass from the post is incredible and her IQ will add to a strong front court."
A native of The Hague, Netherlands, Molina has experience playing for several clubs in her home country, having most recently suited up for Orange Lions. The 6-2 forward/wing has extensive experience in international play, representing the Dutch in 27 FIBA 3x3 events including the U18 World Cup in August where she helped the Netherlands earn sixth place. Molina represented her country again in the FIBA U18 European Championships where she averaged 21.3 minutes per game, shot 47.1% from the field, and dominated the glass with 6.3 rebounds per game in the tournament.
Swain-Price, a 6-0 power forward, comes to Temple from Stoughton, Mass. in the Boston area where she attended Dexter Southfield School in the prestigious New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC). A strong post player, Swain-Price earned 2021 Class B Player of the Year honors from the NEPSAC. Off the court, Swain Price is a star as well. She is ranked as the number one student in her class with a 4.35 weighted GPA and a 3.93 unweighted GPA.
