PHILADELPHIA - The Temple men's cross country team will compete in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships Friday, Nov. 11th. The 10k race is slated for a 11:30 a.m. start at the Penn State Golf Courses in University Park, Pa.
Previewing the Owls
> The Owls placed sixth at the AAC Championships in Tulsa last week.
> Cole Frank, Liem Chot, and Eirk Kain led the pack for the Cherry & White, finishing 18, 19, and 23rd, respectively. Freshman Kenneth Guy set a collegiate 8k PR with an (25:18.6) time
The Field
> The NCAA Mid-Atlantic regional will be one of the largest meets Temple will compete in this year, with 28 schools sending participants.
> Last season, the Owls impressed with a top-ten finish and had all six runners place within the top 100.
Quotable: Assistant Coach Collin Zeffer
"I'm really excited to see how the guys race tomorrow. We have a really good group of men, most of who are stronger over longer distances so the 10m race distance will cater more towards their strengths. The weather will be rainy but we're a tough group that can handle it. We have to go out and compete and I think we will have a strong team showing!"
