Women's Basketball Hosts Tulane for Senior Day on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple women's basketball team looks to break its two-game losing streak on Saturday when the Tulane Green Wave come to town for senior day. The game is scheduled to air at 2:00pm on ESPN+.
LAST GAME
> The Temple women's basketball team suffered its second consecutive loss on Wednesday night, falling to the Houston Cougars by a score of 80-60.
> Down by eight points with four minutes to play in the third quarter, the Cougars ended the quarter on a 13-4 run to take command for the rest of the contest.
> Red hot shooting (50.0% from three-point land) from the Cougars kept the Owls from cutting into the deficit.

> Sophomore forward Caranda Perea drained four three-point baskets in the last game against Houston. Perea recorded 13 points while making the more threes in a game than any other Owl this season.
> The Cherry & White recorded one of its best three-point shooting performances of the season in the past game, making 40.0% of its shots from behind the arc.

> Tulane's Moon Ursin is one of the most versatile players in the conference. Ursin leads the Green Wave with 13.9 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game.
> The Green Wave are currently on an eight-game winning streak, winning seven of those against conference opponents.
LAST TIME THEY MET
> Freshman Jasha Clinton led all players in scoring, assists and steals but it wasn't enough as the fifth-seeded Temple women's basketball team fell 83-73 to #4 Tulane in the American Athletic Conference Quarterfinals last season.
> Tulane advanced to the semifinals with an improved record of 17-7 (12-6 AAC) while the Owls headed home with a record of 11-11 (11-7 AAC).
> Temple shot 41.1% (30-73) from the floor, 33.3% (7-21) from three and 54.5% (6-11) from the foul line.
> The Green Wave had a better day shooting with their field goal percentage of 50.0 (32-64). Tulane finished the game shooting 82.4% (14-17) from the foul line.
