Track and Field Struggles at AAC Indoor Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Temple women's track and field program struggled in Alabama at the American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships. The team finished in 11th place with 22 points at the end of the two-day meet. UCF took home the championship with 156.5 total points.

Meet Highlights:
After qualifying for the 400m final with a time of 54.96, Marissa White found another gear as she sprinted to a personal-best time in the 400m final with a time of 54.04.

Distance runner Helene Gottlieb qualified for the one mile run final after posting a time of 4:57.17 in the preliminary round. Gottlieb followed up that performance with a faster 4:52.10 on Saturday.

Tannekee Strachan posted a mark of 12.83m in the triple-jump to narrowly miss out on the podium.
