White Shines at UCF Black and Gold Invite

ORLANDO, Fla. - Sprinter Marissa White shined at the UCF Black and Gold Invitational on Friday and Saturday as the Temple track and field team opened its outdoor season in Orlando competing against 30 other teams.
Meet Highlights:
White set a personal-best in the 200m dash with a time of 24.29 to place 20th in the event.
Kwanda Knight, racing in the 400m hurdles for the first time this season, ran to a time of 1:03.70 to take 13th place.
In the high jump, freshman Amira Green placed sixth in the high jump with a mark of 1.62m.
On Saturday, White broke her personal-best in the 400m race once again this season, sprinting to a time of 54.06.
In the 3000m run, Emily Schuler (6th), Cat Shontz (7th), and Emma Seifried (9th) all placed in the top-10.
