Track and Field Opens Outdoor Season With Trip to Orlando

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple track and field team opens its outdoor season on Mar. 18-19 with a two-day meet in Orlando, Fla. at the UCF Black and Gold Invite.
About the UCF Black and Gold Invite
Nicole Castor, Sophia Gulotti, Allyson Metzger, and Tannekee Strachan open up for the action for the Owls in the long jump at 2:00pm on Friday.
Up next, Castor and freshman Amira Green compete in the high jump before juniors Kwanda Knight and Deyona Banks compete in the 400m hurdles for the first time this season.
Then, Marissa White and Chelby Elam lead four other Owls in the 200m dash for Temple's final event of the day.
On Saturday, Strachan starts things off for the Cherry & White in the triple jump as Willa Gibson competes in the 800m run shortly after.
A few hours later, Banks, Knight, and White join Mary Olayinka Ilelaboye as the four compete in the 400m dash.
Later on, Emily Schuler, Cat Shontz, and Emma Seifried make their season debuts in the 3000m run before Ilelaboye, Christal Pommells, Elam, Knight, and White end the event for the Owls in the 1600m relay.
