Golf Travels to North Carolina for ECU Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE N.C. – After a ninth-place finish at the Southern Invitational, the Temple golf team looks to bounce back as they travel to North Carolina for the ECU Intercollegiate next Monday and Tuesday (March 21-22). The 12-team event will be held at the Brook Valley Country Club on its par-72, 6,831-yard Ellis Maples-designed course. The tournament will consist of 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.
Previewing the Owls
> Junior co-captain Conor McGrath, who leads the Owls with a 71.17 stroke average, had the best fall of any Temple golfer in school history. McGrath had his first eagle of the spring season in the final round of the Southern Invitational.
> Sophomore Graham Chase (73.35) was second for the Cherry and White at the Southern Invitational and looks to build momentum after shooting a one-under 71 in the final round.
> Senior co-captain Dawson Anders (73.96) is third for the Owls while freshman Ethan Whitney (74.17), who led the Owls and tied for 23rd overall with a five-over 221 at the Southern Invitational, ranks fourth in stroke average.
> Junior Buddy Hansen (74.55) rounds out the team's starting five.
> Freshmen Joey Morganti (75.55) and Gregory Hanna will play as independents for the Owls. Hanna is playing in his first career collegiate tournament while Morganti is getting his first tournament action of the spring.

> The tournament is hosted by ECU. The other teams in the field are Dartmouth, Francis Marion, Gardner Webb, IUPUI, Maryland, Mount Olive, Oakland, Presbyterian, Southern Miss, and Western Carolina.
