Women’s Tennis Blanks Morgan State, 7-0

CHERRY HILL, N.J. – Temple women's tennis (8-4) dominated the match against Morgan State (4-7-1) on Wednesday afternoon, securing all seven available points to leave the Bears scoreless. Of the Owls eight wins this season, five have been sweeps, including four 7-0 victories.

"We had a really solid performance today," head coach Steve Mauro said. "We set the tone right away as we entered doubles play, winning from all three positions and then we carried that into our singles competition, winning the remaining points."

The Owls will return to action this Saturday, Apr. 2 to host Binghamton in their second outdoor home match of the year. The match is set to kickoff at 10 a.m. at the TU Pavilion.

- The Owls set the tone for the match in doubles play, securing wins from all three pairs, including 6-2 wins from the No. 1 and No. 2 position. Yining Tian and Veronika Kulhava snuck away with the win from the No. 3 spot after edging out the Morgan State duo in a tie-break.
- Temple carried their success into singles competition, claiming all six points to end the day with the 7-0 victory.
