Davis, East, Gourdine Earn Conference Regular Season Honors

IRVING, Texas - The American Athletic Conference announced today that Temple's Mia Davis, Tiarra East, and Aniya Gourdine earned regular season honors for their performances throughout the season. Davis was named to the All-AAC First Team for the fourth consecutive season while East and Gourdine were named to the All-AAC Freshman Team. Davis and Gourdine were unanimous selections to their respective teams.

Davis earned first team honors after averaging 19.1 points per game and 7.2 rebounds per game throughout the season, both of which led the team. Along with points per game, Davis also led the entire conference in field-goal percentage and free throws made. Davis recorded six double-doubles this season while averaging more than 20 points per game in conference play. She recorded a season-high 28 points against SMU on Feb. 28.

East earned her selection to the freshman team having started 11 games this season for the Owls. East averaged 3.6 points per game and 2.7 rebounds per game throughout the campaign. She scored a season-high 16 points against Bucknell and scored nine points while grabbing 10 rebounds at Memphis.

Gourdine earned her unanimous selection to the freshman team after a historic first year in the Cherry & White when she became the first player in program history to record a triple-double. Gourdine finished the regular season averaging 7.8 points per game, 6.0 rebounds per game, and 4.4 assists per game. Gourdine recorded two triple-doubles this season against ECU (13 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists) and Tulsa (11 points, 15 rebounds, 10 assists).

The Owls begin their conference tournament on Tuesday, Mar. 8 against SMU at 3:00pm ET on ESPN+.
