The Owls
The Owls
- The Owls enter the match at 3-3, most recently dropping to No. 34 Princeton, 5-2. Despite the three-point deficit, the Cherry and White played the Tigers close, falling just short of earning the doubles point.
- After facing a loss in the No. 3 position in doubles play, Marin Delmas and Louis Gorregues secured a win from the No. 2 position, while Thibault Frumholz and Leo Raquin almost earned the victory, but were edged out in a tiebreak to ultimately drop the team doubles point and head into singles behind.
- Prior to the loss against Princeton, the Owls were on a three-match win streak, defeating St. Francis Brooklyn, 6-1 followed by wins over Siena and Monmouth, both by a score of 5-2.
- Gregoire Barety and Delmas are currently tied for the best singles record on the team with a 4-2 showing. Delmas has secured this record from the No. 1 position while Barety has accrued a 3-1 record from the No. 3 spot and a 1-1 record from the No. 4 position.
- The Knights enter the match with a 3-5 record, most recently being edged by NJIT, 4-3.
- FDU picked up their first win of the season on Feb. 10, when downed Hofstra, 5-2. The win over the Pride sparked momentum for the Knights, earning wins in the following two matches as they defeated St. Thomas Aquinas, 4-3 and Villanova, 4-1.
- Last year, the Knights posted a 6-5 record which include a perfect 4-0 conference performance that resulted in their 13th straight NEC Championship win.
- FDU advanced to the first round of the NCAA tournament where they fell to Virginia, 4-0.
