Anders and McGrath Tied for Fifth After First Day of Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON N.J. – Co-captains Conor McGrath and Dawson Anders are tied for fifth overall shooting two-under 140 through two rounds at the Princeton Invitational. As a team, Temple was three-over 571 for the day and sits fourth among the 15-team field. The two-day, 54-hole tournament is being held at the par-71, 6,456-yard Springdale Golf Club.
Recapping the Day
> Senior co-captain Dawson Anders shot one-under 70 in both rounds. He had six birdies on the day, as he finished the second round with two straight birdies.
> Junior co-captain Conor McGrath had his best day of the spring season with a team-high ten birdies on the day, as he shot one-under 70 in both rounds.
> Sophomore Graham Chase carded a two-over 73 in the morning round. He had his best round of the spring season in the afternoon shooting one-under 70 to tie for 18th overall with a one-over 143. Chase had seven birdies on the day.
> Freshman Ethan Whitney carded a five-over 76 in the first round but saw a four-stroke swing in the afternoon firing a one-over 72 to tie for 51st overall.
> Junior Buddy Hansen shot a five-over 76 in the first round. He improved three strokes in the second round with a two-over 73 to end the day tied for 54th overall.
The Field
> The Princeton B Team leads the field at nine-under 559, one shot better than their second place A-Team. Seton Hall is in third at two-under 566.
> Princeton's William Huang leads the field by four strokes with a seven-under 135.
