Fencing Named All-Academic Team, 12 Earn Individual Honors

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple fencing team has been named an All-Academic Team by the USFCA, with 12 fencers earning individual awards. All 12 earned All-Academic Honors while seven were also named Scholars of Distinction.

The USFCA recognizes the individual student-athletes and teams on the basis of their combined Fall and Spring semester GPAs. All-Academic Team honors are presented to those student-athletes at member institutions who had an in-season GPA of 3.3 or higher. Scholar of Distinction honors are presented to those student-athletes at member institutions who had an in-season GPA of 3.7 or higher. The All-Academic Team includes 366 student-athletes with 217 receiving recognition as Scholars of Distinction. The Owls earned a team GPA of 3.45 to finish ninth among the 15 teams recognized.
