Fencing to Host 42nd Annual Temple Open on October 29-30

PHILADELPHIA - Temple head fencing coach Jennie Salmon has released information for the 42nd Annual Temple Fencing Open. The two-day, six-weapon tournament will be held on October 29-30 at the Liacouras Center on Temple's main campus.
The Temple Open, considered to be the largest of its kind in the nation, is an individual tournament for collegiate fencers that tends to draw an estimated 500 student-athletes from over 30 schools. In addition, it is used as the starting point to the season for many schools on the East Coast.
Competitors in women's foil, women's epee, and women's sabre will compete on Saturday, October 29, with men's foil, men's epee, and men's sabre competing on Sunday, October 30. Entries are due by October 12.
