Quinton Rose Signs Contract with the New York Knicks

PHILADELPHIA – Quinton Rose, who starred on the Temple University men's basketball team from 2016-20, has signed a professional contract with the New York Knicks as announced by the club on September 21.

Rose played with the Westchester Knicks last season in 31 games, making two starts. He averaged 7.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists while playing 22.9 minutes per game. He also appeared in three games for the Knicks Summer League team.

The native of Rochester, N.Y, earned Second Team All-AAC in both his junior and senior seasons. He was also named First Team NABC All-District in 2019-20 and Second Team Philadelphia Big 5 in 2018-19. During his senior season in 2019-20, the Temple co-captain led the Owls in scoring (16.4 ppg/2nd AAC), assists (3.5 apg/9th AAC) and steals (2.0 spg/3rd) and was the only player in the American Athletic Conference to rank among the Top 10 in all three statistical categories.  Rose also became the AAC's all-time leader in points (1,860), steals (231) and field goals made (675) during the 2019-20 season, all records which still stand today.
 
Rose ranks sixth on Temple's all-time scoring list and seventh on the all-time steals list with 231. He also is one of four Temple players to have over 1500 points, 500 rebounds, 300 assists and 200 steals in his Temple career.  He ended his four years at Temple with 1860 points, 552 rebounds, 325 assists and 231 steals, joining Mark Macon (2609 pts, 700 rebs, 352 asts, 281 stls), Mardy Collins (1919 pts, 569 rebs, 398 asts, 290 stls) and Mark Tyndale (1729 pts, 733 rebs, 377 asts, 201 stls) in this elite all-around group.
