PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's soccer (0-2-4) traveled to West Philadelphia to face off against city foe, Drexel (4-0-3) on Thursday evening, recording a 0-0 draw against the undefeated Dragons. An eight-save performance from goalkeeper Kyla Burns headlined the Owls defensive efforts to earn the tie.
How it Happened
"There are always going to be parts of our game where we want to continue to grow," head coach Nick Bochette said. "But what we can say is that Kyla has been a really strong backbone to our defense this year. She's posted three clean sheets in five starts and her ability to stay consistent has been a very important factor in our confidence as a defensive unit this season that we're excited to carry into conference play."

How it Happened
- The Owls and the Dragons entered the match with high energy, as the unbeaten Drexel squad fired off the first shot of the match just two minutes into play. Burns wasted no time, making her first save of the night to halt the momentum.
- Despite a back-and-forth battle for the remainder of the half, neither teams could break the deadlock, ending the first 45 minutes of play scoreless.
- As the second half opened, Drexel struck first again, firing off a string of shots beginning in the 51stminute of play. Burns stood strong, making back-to-back saves for the Cherry and White to kickstart an offensive run.
- Using the momentum from Burns, the Owls answered back just two minutes later with a shot of their own from Sumaya Togba on the right wing, but the Drexel keeper cut off the angle to make a stop.
- With only three minutes left to play, Drexel found an opening and looked to capitalize, firing a shot towards the right side of the net but a diving save from Burns carried the Owls to a draw.
