Three Fencers Compete in Day One of January NAC

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The No. 11 Temple fencing team opened the January North American Cup Saturday afternoon, with three foilists taking to the strip.
Anastasia Yankovskiy entered the elimination round as the No. 75 seed, falling to Iman Blow in a close 15-13 bout in the Round of 128. Constança Dimas entered the elimination round as the No. 108 seed before falling to Sabrina Fang 15-11, while Elizabeth Novoseltseva entered the elimination round as the No. 118 seed before falling 15-5 to Carolina Stutchbury. Yankovskiy finished in 86th place, Dimas finished in 109th place, and Novoseltseva finished in 118th place.
The sabre squad will compete in the second day of of the NAC, with pool play beginning at 2 p.m.
