Four Fencers Compete in Day Two of January NAC

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The No. 11 Temple fencing team continued its three-day stretch at the January North American Cup, with four saberists taking to the strip.

Emma Pincus entered the elimination round as the No. 106 seed, defeating Hannah Lee 15-10 in the Round of 128 before falling to Zoe Kim 15-5 in the Round of 64. Zoe Turner entered the elimination round as the No. 79 seed before falling 15-6 to Chloe Gouhin, while Alexandra Weinberg advanced out of pool play as the No. 96 seed and fell to Jenna Showman 15-4 in the Round of 128. 

Arwen Gormley rounded out the saberists advancing to to the elmination round, falling to Magda Skarbonkiewicz 15-5. Pincus finished in 64th place, Turner earned a 92nd place finish, Weinberg finished in 102nd place, and Gormley finished 126th place.

The epee squad will compete in the final day of of the NAC, with pool play beginning at 8 a.m.
