Field Hockey Looks to Snap Skid

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple field hockey team will look to snap a four-game losing streak with a pair of games this weekend, continuing BIG EAST play with a game against Georgetown in Towson, Md. on Oct. 13 before hosting Delaware on Oct. 15.

Scouting Temple
> The Owls are on a four game slump, going 6-6 (1-2 BIG EAST) on the season. The Owls won their first conference matchup, topping UConn 1-0, before falling to Old Dominion, No. 9 Liberty, and Providence.
> The Cherry and White has struggled offensively, scoring just 10 goals and being shutout by six opponents. Temple has not scored in four straight games, last posting two goals at Lehigh on Sept. 17.
> Temple fired a season-high 22 shots in the 1-0 overtime loss at Monmouth, putting 15 on target. 
> Tess Muller leads the team with three goals, all three being game-winners. Seven other Owls have posted goals for Temple.
> Molly Frey has been a force in goal, recording 42 saves and allowing 18 goals for a 0.700 save percentage. Her 1.49 GAA ranks 28th in the NCAA and fourth in the league.

Scouting Georgetown
> Georgetown is 1-12 (0-4 BIG EAST) on the season and is on a five game losing streak.
> The Hoyas' only win of the season was a 4-2 victory over Lock Haven on Sept. 17.
> Vivienne Trumpbour is the GU's main scorer, posting five of 17 goals, while Sophie Towne is the team's main feeder with four assists.
> Bailey Tietz and Ella Fahey have split time in the cage, with Tietz seeing the majority of minutes. Fahey's 61 saves leads the team, while Tietz's 4.67 saves per game ranks 32nd in the NCAA.

Series History
> Temple and Georgetown have met 15 times in series history, with the Owls holding a 10-5 advantage.
> The Owls won the last game in the series, and is 2-3 in the last five games.
