Amira Green Sets National Top 20 Mark as Track & Field Competes at Lehigh

BETHELEM, Pa. – For the second straight week, the Temple track & field program dominated the competition. In all but two events they competed in, the Owls had at least one athlete earn a top three finish at Fast Time Before Finals, hosted by Lehigh. Nya Browne (60m hurdles), Amira Green (high jump) and Inara Shell (triple jump) took first place in their events. For Browne and Shell, it is the second straight week they has won events.
Amira Green (high jump), Allyson Metzger (60m), Jade Pope (500m), and Aliza White-Vega (pole vault) set personal bests. Green's mark of 1.75m is just .09m short of Temple's school record and ranks 20th nationally among all athletes.
Results
Temple will have a month off for the holidays before returning to the track at Penn State for the Nittany Lion Challenge.

Results
- In the pole vault, program record holder Allie Riches earned her second top three finishes of the season, earning third (3.80m). Cierra Crane and White-Vega tied for fourth with 3.65, for White-Vega, it is a personal best. Freshman Reece Sullivan jumped 3.20m for the second straight week.
- Nya Browne took first in the 60m hurdles in her second straight event, clocking a time of 8.88 in the finals.
- Pope and Laila Cottom earned top four finishes in the 500m, with Pope (1:18.07) in second and Cottom (1:21.08) in fourth. For Pope, it is a personal best.
- Freshman Terran Bolton clocked a time of 29.11 in the 200m.
- Browne, Metzger, and Bolton ran in the 60m dash, with Browne and Metzger advancing to the finals. Browne earned fourth with a time of 7.98 and Metzger placed in sixth with a time of 8.06. Metzger's time of 8.05 in the preliminaries is a personal best.
- Inara Shell headlined the long jump, earning second place (5.75m). Obiamaka Igwenagu checked in at 5.34m, while Metzger (5.13) and Reagan Schwartz (5.12) rounded out the group.
- Amira Green dominated the high jump group, with a height of 1.75m, the most in the field by a margin of .12m. and a personal best. Nicole Caster tied for third with a mark of 1.58.
- Shell took the triple jump with a mark of 11.88. Igwenagu checked in at third with 11.72m, Schwartz recorded a collegiate best of 10.79m.
