Owls Start the Weekend Series Off Right, Beating SFBK and Coppin St.

Cherry Hill, NJ – The Temple men's tennis team (4-2) swept their set of matches today beating the likes of St. Francis College of Brooklyn (1-6) and Coppin State University (0-1) at the Cherry Hill Racquet Club on Friday, Feb. 10. The Owls have now won four straight matches after starting the season 0-2.

"It was a very strong performance by the men's team today not losing in either of our matches against [SFBK and Coppin St.]," Coach Steve Mauro said. Notes:
- Temple won the doubles point behind the work of Marin Delmas and Greg Barety finishing earliest from the first position followed by Louis Gorregues and Hussein El Tawil from the third position. SFBK had the lead in the second position at the time when the point was won.
- The match was called after the Owls swept the first three singles points from Delmas, Raquin, and Gorregues.
- Louis Gorregues picked up a team-high fourth victory in singles play now sitting at 4-1 in the spring. He would be given off for the second match of the day.

- Temple won the second match of the day winning a default point from the third position of doubles and the sixth position in singles play.
- Alberto Blumenschein saw his first spring action for the Owls winning in the fifth position of singles play. He played in six matches this past fall before making his spring debut today.
- Marin Delmas was the only player to participate and win all four available sets in both matches today. He now stands 5th all-time in wins for Temple men's tennis with 58.
