Carter PRs as Track & Field Competes in Day One of Rutgers Invitational

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Temple's track and field team kicked off day one of the two-day Rutgers Invitational. Freshman Fiona Carter set a new personal best in the high jump with a mark of 5-03 fr (1.60m).

The Owls will compete again tomorrow for day 2 of competition.
Friday's Results
- Chidumga Nkulume fell just short of her personal best in the 400m, clocking a time of 59.75 seconds, her personal best of 59.59 was set only two weeks ago at the Villanova Invitational. Christal Pommells also ran in the event.
- Dominyka Petraskaite returned to competition for the first time this season.
- Four Owls competed in the high jump, all reaching the mark of 1.60m. Amira Green, Jaaliyah Evans, Nicole Castor, and Carter. For Carter, it is the first time she has competed in the high jump at the collegiate level.
- Allyson Metzger and Madison Trout competed in the long jump, with Metzger earning a top 20 finish.
- The 4x200 team finished third among a field of 11 teams.
The Owls will compete again tomorrow for day 2 of competition.
