PHILADELPHIA – The Temple women's tennis team (2-1) defeated the Howard Bison (0-1) on Sunday evening, February 5 to move above the .500 mark. The final score was 5-2.

Notes:

The Owls started the day behind Jamie Wei and Maiko Uchijima winning the first set in doubles 6-2, before Veronika Kulhava and Evie Wei secured the point for Temple winning 6-3.
Temple executed well against 2022 MEAC Player of the Year Jordan Grayson, who was beaten by Jamie Wei in the first position of singles play.
Selah Stibbins was able to win the point from the third position for the Bison making the score 3-1 in favor of Temple with three incomplete matches remaining. Maiko Uchijima and Sena Takebe then won back-to-back matches from the fourth and fifth position to win it for the Owls.
