PHILADELPHIA – The Temple women's basketball team (10-12, 5-5 AAC) hits the road again this Wednesday as the Owls head down the coast to face East Carolina (15-8, 6-3 AAC). The Owls have won three of their last four games.

This game is another vital battle in the American Athletic Conference standings. Four teams are separated by just one game from seventh-fourth place in the AAC, with the fourth-place team earning a bye in the conference tournament.

> Temple led by as many as 14 points in the second quarter (27-13) before Houston got hot from the field. The Owls led by three at halftime.

> Aleah Nelson and shooting guard Tarriyonna Gary have combined for 101 three pointers this season. The two alone are nearing the mark set by the entire team last season (103).

SCOUTING EAST CAROLINA
> ECU is experiencing a resurgence in 2022-23 after three straight losing seasons. In 2022-23, the Pirates are having a strong campaign, with a 15-8 record and a 6-4 mark in conference play. However, they have dropped two of the last three.

Amiya Joyner is another player to watch for ECU, she ranks second on the team in scoring with 9.7 ppg and leads the team in rebounds with 8.0 per contest. She has won AAC Freshman of the Week in two straight weeks and five times this season.
