Men’s Tennis Defeats Drexel 5-2 to Win Their Eighth Straight

3.1.23 | Men's Tennis

Philadelphia-The Temple men's tennis team (8-2) defeated the Drexel Dragons (4-6) on Wednesday afternoon by a final score of 5-2 on the Vidas Courts. This marks the eighth straight win for the Owls as they near the halfway point of the season.

NOTES:
  • Temple's Greg Barety returned to the lineup with partner Marin Delmas in the first position of doubles after he didn't play last weekend. The duo beat the Dragon's top pair 6-2 to start the Owls' sweep in doubles play to win the point.
  • The second, third, and fourth positions of singles play each went to three sets, with Temple winning two of the three matches. Drexel's Daniel Dudockin faced off and won against Louis Gorregues in the third position winning one of Drexel's two points scored throughout the afternoon.
  • Leo Raquin helped tip the scale in Temple's favor from the second position after each team had claimed singles point. So far this spring, Raquin is now 7-1 from the second position.
